Gianna Paganelli, DVM, DACVIM
Dr. Paganelli grew up in Westchester, New York, where she first fell in love with horses. She earned her undergraduate degree from Emory University with a major in Biology and a minor in Spanish. Gianna then continued to Cornell University for veterinary school, where she developed a passion for international working equid welfare and internal medicine. After graduating in 2021, Gianna completed a rotating internship at Mid-Atlantic Equine Medical Center in New Jersey. She then went on to complete a residency in internal medicine at Michigan State University. During residency, Gianna treated all large animals species and was cross trained in emergency medicine. Gianna has a particular passion for emergency and critical care medicine, neurologic disorders, and neonatal medicine. When she’s not working at Pioneer, she lives in the Monterey area with her partner. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, theater, and playing volleyball.
